STATOR BAR STORAGE CRATES
These storage crates were designed by Point Engineering to facilitate the safe, long-term storage of generator stator bars at a South East Queensland power station.

The stator bars are classified as critical spares. For this reason, the crates feature a fully sealed interior lining to protect against the ingress of insects and vermin. Each crate has a load rating of 2 t, and can be stacked up to 3 units high, with provision for two generator air cooler bundles to be placed on top of the crate stack. Lifting points were provided for use with the station’s overhead crane.
